Earth Science A topics include: Meteorology, Topography and Astronomy
Earth Science B topics include: Minerals and rocks, Geology and Hydrology
754 ASTRONOMY
Open to: Grades 10 – 12 1 Credit
Prerequisite: Grade of “C” or better in Earth Science recommended.
Dig deeper into the space beyond us and understand the objects in the sky while others only wonder.
755 GEOLOGY AND PALEONTOLOGY
Open to: Grades 10 – 12 1 Credit
Prerequisite: Earth Science B
Students will interpret Earth’s history and geologic events.
756 METEOROLOGY

Understand the ideas behind what you see in the media and outside your window.
747 ECOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE
Open to: All grades 1 Credit
Prerequisite: Earth Science B
This course will give you a scientific understanding of current environmental and ecological issues.
757/758/759 BIOLOGY A, B & C (Required)
Open to: Grade 10 ONLY 1 Credit/term
Prerequisite: Earth Science B
Biology topics include cell theory, genetics, evolution, ecology, cycles and the historical significance of major biological advances, and the structure, form, function, and development of numerous species.
748/749/750 AP BIOLOGY A, B & C
Open to: Grades 10 – 12 1 Credit/term
Prerequisite: Biology C and Chemistry C or concurrent enrollment in Chemistry A/B/C.
This course is designed for college-bound biology majors, pre-med, pre-vet or related fields. AP Biology is taught at the collegiate level, including the use of a college text.
751 GENETICS
Open to: Grades 11 – 12 ONLY 1 Credit
Prerequisite: Biology A/B/C with an average grade of 3.0
This college prep course emphasizes the exciting study of heredity and the new, emerging fields of genetic engineering and bio-technology.
760 ANATOMY
Open to: Grades 10 – 12 1 Credit
Prerequisite: Grades of B or better are recommended in Biology A/B/C.
This introductory anatomy class will investigate the structure of the human body.
761 PHYSIOLOGY

Prerequisite: Anatomy
Explore the fascinating inner working of the human body.
762 FORENSIC SCIENCE
Open to: Grades 11 – 12 ONLY 1 Credit
Prerequisite: Biology A/B/C
This course is an introduction to forensic science.

Open to: Grades 10 – 12 1 Credit/term
Prerequisite: A grade of C or better is recommended in Integrated Math I or Algebra 1
Students investigate chemical concepts and engage in laboratory work.
773 PHYSICAL SCIENCE-CHEMISTRY (Required unless 770/771/772 taken)
Open to: Grades 10 – 12 1 Credit
Prerequisite: Earth Science B
This course covers chemistry concepts in one trimester instead of the traditional year long course.
780/781/782 PHYSICS A, B & C

Prerequisite: Integrated Math II (B or better)
Physics studies matter, energy, and the rules that govern the natural world.
783/784/785 CONCEPTUAL PHYSICS A, B & C
Open to: Grades 10 – 12 1 Credit/term
Prerequisite: Integrated Math II
Conceptual Physics will cover the same topics as Physics but with much less emphasis on math.
